How to Download TikTok Videos in Safari
Safari handles media downloads differently than Chrome—especially on iOS where previews open inline. TikSaver still works; you just need to know when to long-press or use the Share sheet to push MP4s into Files.

- **iPhone/iPad:** After the save action, Safari may **play the MP4 inline** — use **Share** (square + arrow) → **Save Video** (Photos) or **Save to Files** and pick a folder.
- **iPhone:** If only a player appears: **long-press** the download control on TikSaver’s card → **Download Linked File** → check **Files** → **Downloads**.
- **Mac:** **Option + click** the download control often forces a save dialog; otherwise **right-click** → **Download Linked File**.
- Keep **Reader** off (AA icon) on TikSaver so scripts and the result card render normally.
Strong candidates: inline MP4 with the Share sheet open to “Save Video”, and Files → Downloads after “Download Linked File”.
Safari privacy settings that affect downloads
Prevent Cross-Site Tracking generally stays on—fine for TikSaver. If you enabled “Block All Cookies,” allowlist TikSaver or downloads cannot authenticate ancillary requests.
- Check Settings → Apps → Safari → Downloads for default location
- Disable Low Power Mode if downloads stall on cellular
